BY DEED2 years back I m on train Bombay to Manglore, at Panvel station an European guy boarded my coach and asked me for opposite seat, then he shook my hand and introduced him self, he is from Switzerland.He just landed Bombay air port, and like to go Goa so caught a taxi from air port to LTT railway station but our opportunist taxi driver took him to Panvel station and took 1800Rs which was double to normal but he was unaware. I felt very bad about my country man, I explained to him how taxi man cheated him, hence I m in mode to armour my country's image, I said majority of Indian's are not like that but you must be alert around the India's tourist spots,bus & rail stations.Before reaching Goa we became friends, en rout I offered him food [vada paw] and teas because he nothing had since he touched our soil.We chatted lots about traveling,I m still annoyed about the ill image of my country in mind of a guest [it is his first visit] I wanted to counter it,my instinct offered him to visit my place if you come to Udupi,I gave him my cell number and address and I forgot. After 20 days I got a call from a western accent it was him,I took him to my home he was guest for 15 days. Now we r in touch with net,again he visited India few months back he says he feels India as his second country whats more.....Atithi devo bhavo.
